Vini Vici Rules Psytrance While Just 199 Votes Split Astrix and Joyca
By Imani BrooksยทOctober 29, 2026
Psytrance's fan vote tells two stories at once. At the top, nobody comes close. In the race for second, almost nothing separates the two contenders.
A clear number one
Vini Vici tops the board with 11,085 fan votes, 3,150 ahead of Astrix in second. That is roughly 40 percent more votes than the runner-up, so this is a real lead and not a photo finish. The credit score points the same way: Vini Vici's 914 is the highest of the three and 35 points clear of Astrix's 879.
The streaming profile explains a lot of it. Vini Vici pulls 3,015,156 Spotify monthly listeners, the largest monthly audience in this group. Behind that sit 628,993 Spotify followers, 734,864 Instagram followers and 476,000 YouTube subscribers. When fans decide the ranking, everyday reach is a big advantage, and nobody else here matches it.
Astrix and the case for depth
Vini Vici wins on breadth. Astrix makes the strongest case on depth. His 7,935 votes put him second, and he leads outright on several platforms: 1,380,000 YouTube subscribers, 481,389 SoundCloud followers and 274,706 Last.fm listeners. That Last.fm figure is nearly double Vini Vici's 145,969. He is also the only one of the three with an RA follower count in our data, at 9,973.
The gap to the leader comes down mostly to Spotify. Astrix's 564,573 Spotify followers aren't far behind Vini Vici's 628,993. The distance opens up in monthly listeners, where he has 735,214 against more than three million. Together, those numbers describe a committed audience with smaller everyday reach. In a popularity vote, everyday reach is where first place gets decided.
Joyca, 199 votes back
Joyca, listed under France, is the only act in this top three not listed under Israel, and he is pressing hard. His 7,736 votes leave him just 199 behind Astrix, the smallest margin on this board.
The credit score is less even. Joyca's 810 sits 69 points below Astrix, almost twice the 35-point gap between the top two. On fan votes, second place is up for grabs. On the broader score, Astrix holds it more firmly.
One detail in Joyca's Spotify numbers stands out: 271,321 followers against 263,180 monthly listeners. He is the only one of the three with more followers than monthly listeners. That suggests a fan base that has chosen to follow him, not just one that streams him in passing. Add 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers and 28,713 Last.fm listeners, and you get a following that is smaller on streaming but loyal.
One social figure in Joyca's profile is so far out of line with the rest of his numbers that we're setting it aside rather than drawing conclusions from it.
What the board says about the scene
Looking past the individual stories, a few patterns stand out. Two of the three acts are listed under Israel. All three list Psy-Trance as their main genre, so every name on this board is a psytrance act.
Each act's strength also sits on a different platform. Vini Vici's is Spotify reach. Astrix's runs across YouTube, SoundCloud and Last.fm. Joyca's is a Spotify following that is larger than his monthly audience.
That spread matters because it shows there is more than one way to build a psytrance audience that turns out to vote. The top spot looks settled for now. Second place, with 199 votes in it, is the race to watch.
