Venezuela's Electronic Vanguard: 31 DJs and a Bass-Heavy Backbone

A scene with 31 names and no single sound

Venezuela currently fields 31 DJs on the DJ Radar board, and what's striking about the top eight isn't a shared aesthetic — it's the lack of one. Drum & bass, house, deep house, hard dance, electronica, dubstep: this is a national scene defined by breadth rather than a single export sound.

Zardonic leads from the low end

At the top sits Zardonic, whose drum & bass carries a credit score of 757 across 6,371 votes — the highest tallies on the board. The numbers behind him are equally sturdy: 223,733 Spotify monthly listeners, 85,857 Spotify followers, and 106,011 Last.fm listeners. It's a bass-forward profile with reach across platforms, and it anchors the whole leaderboard.

Cardopusher and the house counterweight

Just behind, Cardopusher brings house to second place with a credit score of 718 and 4,904 votes. His footprint leans toward engagement over raw streaming — 35,224 Instagram followers and 53,315 Last.fm listeners — a different shape of audience than Zardonic's, and a reminder that the scene's second act pulls from the four-to-the-floor side of the spectrum.

Argenis Brito, the road warrior

Third-ranked Argenis Brito works in deep house, with a credit score of 678 and 4,438 votes. The stat that jumps out here is a festival count of 47 — the kind of number that speaks to a career built on stages rather than streaming dashboards. It's the most touring-heavy profile in the top tier.

Hard dance, electronica and the bass return

Zeta takes fourth on 639 credit and 4,465 votes, carrying hard dance into the upper ranks with 21,768 Spotify followers. Fifth-placed Djane Nany works in electronica, holding a credit score of 572 across 2,019 votes.

The bass family reappears at six: Subliminal Code, the board's dubstep entry, with a credit score of 566 and 3,580 votes. Rounding out the eight are two more electronica acts — Nono Belune (489 credit, 1,793 votes) and Submarino (485 credit, 1,963 votes), the pair separated by just four points of credit score.

Reading the shape of it

The spread from top to bottom is real — Zardonic's 757 sits comfortably clear of Cardopusher's 718, and the credit scores step down steadily from there. This isn't a photo finish at the top; it's a hierarchy with a clear leader and a deep bench.

What holds it together is genre logic. The bass genre-family bookends the leaderboard — Zardonic's drum & bass at one, Subliminal Code's dubstep at six — while house and deep house occupy the middle and electronica accounts for three of the eight slots. Hard dance gets its own foothold through Zeta.

For a scene this varied, the takeaway is simple: Venezuela isn't riding one wave. It's fielding drum & bass heavyweights, house craftsmen, festival-tested deep-house names and a spread of electronica producers, all on the same board. Thirty-one names deep, the country's electronic output reads less like a trend and more like an ecosystem — and the top of that ecosystem is Zardonic, holding the line from the low end.
