Uruguay's Top 3 DJs, Decided by the Fans

By Imani Brooks·October 10, 2026

Uruguay's electronic scene is small enough that a national Top 3 should feel predictable — and large enough that it refuses to be. This countdown is ranked purely by fan votes, and what the voters delivered is a podium that spans three distinct corners of dance music: house at the summit, tech house a short step behind, and hard dance anchoring the bottom step.

A genuine two-way race at the top

The headline here is how close the top two are. Luciano Supervielle takes #1 with 5,574 votes, working in House, while Marcelo Demarco sits at #2 with 5,041 in Tech House. That's a margin of just 533 votes between first and second — close enough that the order could plausibly have flipped on a different week, and a sign that Uruguay's house-leaning audience is split between two camps rather than rallied behind one.

The credit scores tell the same story. Supervielle's 706 edges Demarco's 697 by a sliver — nine points separating the two at the front. By almost every measure DJ Radar tracks, these two are running neck and neck, and the fan vote simply confirmed what the scoring already hinted.

What separates them is texture rather than standing. Supervielle's house sits in the broader house family with real reach across streaming and social platforms. Demarco, operating in tech house, brings a different kind of evidence to the table: a festival count of 29, the highest on this podium, alongside a spread of followings across SoundCloud, Instagram, and Resident Advisor. One profile reads as a streaming and audience presence; the other reads as a working, stage-tested touring résumé. The voters, narrowly, favored the former.

Hard dance holds the third step

Lila Tirando a Violeta completes the Top 3 at #3 with 1,791 votes and a credit score of 566. The vote gap here is real and worth stating plainly: more than 3,000 votes separate third place from second, so this is not a photo finish behind the leaders. It's a clear two-tier podium.

But the placement is notable on its own terms. Lila is the only artist on this list working in Hard Dance rather than the house family — a genre that typically fights for oxygen in a house-dominated market — and still landed a top-three finish. The supporting numbers back a committed, engaged base: 4,358 SoundCloud followers (the highest of the three on that platform), 690 Resident Advisor followers (also the most here), and a festival count of 15. That's the profile of an artist whose audience shows up where it counts for a club and festival act.

What the podium says about the scene

Taken together, the ranking paints Uruguay as a scene with a clear center of gravity and real range at its edges. Two house-adjacent heavyweights dominate the conversation and the vote, trading blows at the very top. Behind them, a hard dance artist breaks through on the strength of a devoted following rather than sheer scale.

It's also a reminder of how differently these careers are built. Demarco and Lila both post strong festival counts and RA followings — the markers of acts measured on the circuit. Supervielle's lead, by contrast, comes with a broader cross-platform footprint. Three artists, three genres, three different routes to the same podium. The fans, this time, drew the line at 533 votes.
