Top 3 Hard DJs: Angerfist Holds Off S3RL and Sub Zero Project in a Tight Race
By Sasha VolkovยทOctober 19, 2026
Nine points. That is the whole gap between first and third among DJ Radar's top 3 hard DJs. Angerfist leads on a credit score of 878, S3RL follows on 874 and Sub Zero Project is third on 869. Four points split the top two, and five more separate second from third. At this level every point counts.
The margins are small, but what makes this podium interesting is that each act got here a different way.
Angerfist: strong across the board
Angerfist holds first place on breadth. The Hardcore artist, representing the Netherlands, has the highest figures in this group on YouTube (1,120,000 subscribers), Instagram (749,854 followers) and SoundCloud (293,384 followers). He also has 1,133,779 Spotify monthly listeners, 599,245 Spotify followers, 213,346 Last.fm listeners and 7,316 Resident Advisor followers.
None of those numbers is an outlier. Together they show a profile that holds up wherever you look.
His 7,869 votes are not the highest of the three. First place here is not simply a reward for winning the ballot.
S3RL: the listening leader
S3RL is the only artist in this top three from outside the Netherlands. He represents Australia and Hardcore from second place, on 874 with 7,784 votes.
Where he stands out is listening platforms. S3RL leads the three in Spotify monthly listeners (2,775,435), Spotify followers (645,119) and Last.fm listeners (597,641). Those three figures point the same way, which gives them weight. The rest of his profile shows 949,000 YouTube subscribers, 138,773 SoundCloud followers, 70,631 Instagram followers and 1,969 Mixcloud followers.
The data does not explain what keeps S3RL four points behind Angerfist, and blaming any single platform would be guesswork. What it does show is how small the gap is.
Sub Zero Project: most votes, third place
Sub Zero Project is the only Hardstyle act on the podium, and its result is the most revealing one in the table. With 8,169 votes, the Netherlands' Sub Zero Project has more votes than either Angerfist or S3RL, yet it sits third on 869.
That is the clearest sign here that credit score and raw vote count are not the same measure. Topping the vote count does not mean topping the ranking.
Beyond the votes, Sub Zero Project has 1,183,156 Spotify monthly listeners. That is second among the three, just ahead of Angerfist's 1,133,779. The profile also shows 253,147 Spotify followers, 281,443 Instagram followers, 104,400 TikTok followers, 135,048 Last.fm listeners, 54,144 SoundCloud followers and 100,000 YouTube subscribers.
The shape of the hard scene
Taken as a whole, this top three is led by Hardcore: two of the three places go to Hardcore artists, and Sub Zero Project represents Hardstyle. By country, the Netherlands has two spots and Australia has one.
The podium also shows that no single number decides the order. The act with the most votes is third. The artist with the biggest Spotify audience is second. The artist in first leads on neither of those, but is strong everywhere else.
With nine points covering the podium, the order is far from fixed. A small shift in any direction could reshuffle it. In a field this even, that is what makes the next update worth watching.
