Top 3 Deep House DJs: Fan Votes Crown Maddix by 300
By Renata Alves·July 16, 2026
Deep house rewards patience, texture and a long game — and this year's fan vote proves the audience is paying attention. Ranked strictly by ballots cast, the top three are separated by margins that reveal how differently listeners and aggregate scores read the same room.
A photo finish at the top
Maddix takes #1 with 11,160 votes, the Netherlands artist edging out Switzerland's Nora en Pure and her 10,860 votes. That is a gap of just 300 votes across more than eleven thousand ballots — close enough that a single festival weekend could have swung it. Maddix's profile leans hard into the live circuit, with a logged 255 festival appearances and 4,520,271 Spotify monthly listeners, a reach that clearly translated into ballot-box loyalty.
Nora en Pure answers with the deepest catalog credentials of the podium's front-runners. Her 373,386 Last.fm listeners and 289,698 SoundCloud followers outpace Maddix on both counts, and her 26,893 Resident Advisor followers speak to a club-first audience that tends to show up when it counts. She trails on the vote by a whisker, not by standing.
When streaming and voting disagree
Then there is Robin Schulz at #3, and here the numbers get interesting. By raw platform footprint, the Germany producer towers over the field: 35,164,413 Spotify monthly listeners, 3,420,620 Spotify followers, 2,629,832 Instagram followers and 1,289,666 Last.fm listeners. His 39,091 Resident Advisor followers are the highest of the three as well. On paper, this is the biggest commercial engine in the countdown.
And yet he lands third on 9,173 votes — a reminder that fan voting measures something streaming charts do not. Reach and turnout are separate currencies. Schulz's audience is vast, but the deep house voting bloc rallied harder behind Maddix and Nora en Pure.
That tension shows up in the credit scores, too, which run almost exactly opposite to the vote. Schulz carries the highest credit score of the trio at 882, Nora en Pure sits at 872, and Maddix at 854. In other words, the metric that weighs aggregate footprint would flip this podium entirely. The fan ballot didn't.
Reading the scene
What unites these three is a genre identity — all three are logged squarely as Deep House — but three distinct routes to the top. Maddix is the festival-forward name whose live volume converted into the winning ballot. Nora en Pure is the club-and-catalog artist whose SoundCloud and Last.fm depth signals a devoted, engaged base. Schulz is the crossover heavyweight whose streaming numbers dwarf the field yet sit outside the deep house voting core.
The geographic spread is its own story: the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany, three neighboring scenes that have long traded ideas across borders and dancefloors. That proximity has helped deep house stay porous and cross-pollinated rather than siloed.
The takeaway from this year's tally is that the deep house audience votes with its feet as much as its ears. A 300-vote margin at the summit is not a mandate — it's an invitation to next year's rematch. Maddix wears the crown for now, Nora en Pure is one strong season from taking it, and Schulz's ceiling suggests the podium is far from settled.
