Top 10 House DJs: Fred again.. Leads by 23 Points as Tech House Fills the Chasing Pack

House music's top tier has a clear shape right now. One name is out in front, and nine more are fighting over small margins behind it. Fred again.. tops our house ranking with a credit score of 975 and is the only act in this top 10 above 960. The gap to Vintage Culture at No. 2 is 23 points, the widest between any two neighbouring places on the board.

The fan vote explains much of that lead. Fred again.. drew 32,662 votes, more than double the next-highest tally in the group, James Hype's 14,854. The wider profile points the same way: 2,834,914 Spotify followers, 1,283,335 Last.fm listeners and 162,106 Resident Advisor followers. Each of those is the highest figure in this top 10. It is also the only entry whose main genre is listed simply as House rather than a subgenre.

Below the top spot, the credit score is clearly doing more than counting ballots. James Hype collected more votes than Vintage Culture (14,854 to 14,207) yet sits a place lower, at No. 3 on 946. Fisher's 14,664 votes are the third-highest here, but they translate to sixth place on 932.

Streaming reach does not settle it either. Fisher's 17,311,944 Spotify monthly listeners are almost triple Vintage Culture's 5,954,967, yet four places still separate them. Vintage Culture's case for No. 2 is breadth: 2,138,720 Spotify followers (second only to the leader), 1,260,000 YouTube subscribers, 454,366 Last.fm listeners and a festival count of 253.

The middle of the table is where the margins shrink. Dom Dolla (940) and Oliver Heldens (938) are just 2 points apart at Nos. 4 and 5. Dom Dolla's numbers are evenly spread across platforms, with 7,457,263 Spotify monthly listeners, 933,600 TikTok followers and 56,820 RA followers. Heldens is the list's lone Future House name, backed by 966,000 YouTube subscribers and 699,307 Last.fm listeners.

Mau P follows at No. 7 on 929, three points behind Fisher, with 13,247 votes, 5,124,775 Spotify monthly listeners and a festival count of 200.

Jamie Jones (No. 8, 926) and Marco Carola (No. 9, 917) show how much weight club-facing metrics can carry. Jamie Jones holds 74,499 RA followers, second only to Fred again.. in this group, along with 429,839 SoundCloud followers and a festival count of 270. Marco Carola's festival count of 384 is the highest among the acts with that figure recorded here, and Carola's 12,832 votes edge Jamie Jones's 12,751.

HUGEL closes the countdown, level with Marco Carola on 917 and placed tenth in our data. HUGEL's 12,118 votes are the fewest in this top 10. The profile still carries 1,310,000 YouTube subscribers, the same figure as James Hype, and 2,917,266 Instagram followers.

Step back and the pattern is hard to miss: eight of the 10 list tech house as their main genre. The geography leans on a few hubs. Three acts come from the United Kingdom (Fred again.., James Hype, Jamie Jones), two each from Australia and the Netherlands, and one apiece from Brazil, Italy and France. Every act here is also listed as male, and the ranking makes that lack of variety impossible to ignore.

The final read: 58 points cover the whole list, but only 35 separate No. 2 from No. 10. Second place is up for grabs. Catching Fred again.. is a different proposition entirely.
