Top 10 DJs Worldwide 2026: Every Rung Decided by 30 Votes
By Devon Pierce·July 21, 2026
When the fan ballots closed, the story wasn't a landslide — it was a photo finish. Across the entire Top 10, every single rung is separated by exactly 30 votes. David Guetta tops the poll with 11,970 votes; Armin van Buuren sits second on 11,940. Thirty votes. That same 30-vote gap repeats all the way down to Black Coffee, who anchors the list at 11,700. From first to tenth, the total spread is just 270 votes — close enough that a single festival crowd could have reshuffled the whole thing.
France leads, but the Netherlands owns the board
Guetta's win keeps France at the summit, his Dance/Pop machine backed by 87,684,123 Spotify monthly listeners — the biggest audience in this field. Yet the real story of the upper half is Dutch. Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix and Tiësto — second, third and fourth — are all from the Netherlands, three different generations of a country that has exported more headline DJs than anywhere else. Armin flies the trance flag; Garrix brings Big Room; Tiësto, also filed under trance here, remains a festival constant with 34,282,125 monthly listeners.
It's worth noting that fan votes and our editorial credit scores don't always agree. Armin actually carries the highest credit score in the Top 10 at 938, ahead of Guetta's 928 — proof that popularity and the panel's read on a career are two different measurements.
The techno and underground contingent
Charlotte de Witte breaks up the commercial run at number five, the highest-placed techno artist and, per the data, the only woman in the Top 10. Her case is built off the stage rather than the streaming charts: a festival count of 202 that tells you exactly where her reputation is forged. Belgium's techno standard-bearer is trailed at eight by Carl Cox, the UK veteran whose Mixcloud following of 259,283 reflects a lifetime in mix culture.
Between them sits Calvin Harris at six, the UK's Dance/Pop heavyweight with 80,769,216 monthly listeners, and Brazil's Alok at seven, whose 28,890,588 Instagram followers give this list its biggest social footprint.
House, Afro house and the long tail
Australia's Fisher lands at nine, the sole tech-house name and, at 855, the lowest credit score of the ten — a reminder that raw fan enthusiasm can outrun the résumé. Closing the countdown is South Africa's Black Coffee, the Afro house pioneer whose 371 festivals logged in the data is the highest festival count anywhere in this Top 10. For a genre that spent years on the margins of these polls, tenth worldwide is a marker of how far Afro house has traveled.
What this ranking really shows is breadth. Commercial Dance/Pop still dominates the raw numbers, but trance, techno, tech house and Afro house all forced their way in. And with only 30 votes between each name, this is less a hierarchy than a snapshot — one that could look very different the next time the fans weigh in.
