Top 10 DJs in Egypt: Aly & Fila Lead a Vote Powered by the Melodic Underground
By Imani Brooks·July 22, 2026
Ask electronic music fans anywhere in the world to name an Egyptian DJ and one answer comes back before any other. So it's no surprise that Aly & Fila top this fan vote with 7,451 votes and a credit score of 790 — the biggest tallies on the board by a clear margin. The trance institution's reach backs the result up across every platform we track: 475,609 Spotify monthly listeners, 184,203 Spotify followers, 233,847 on Instagram, 135,776 on SoundCloud and 122,000 YouTube subscribers. In a list where most artists are building their audiences market by market, Aly & Fila operate at a different altitude, and Egyptian voters clearly still see them as the standard-bearer.
What's happening below the summit is arguably more interesting. Melodic house and techno claims three of the top seven spots, and it owns the podium's other two steps. Philippe El Sisi takes second with 5,663 votes and a 735 credit score, supported by 62,655 Spotify monthly listeners. Fulltone is close behind in third on 5,006 votes — a gap of 657 votes between them — and actually out-streams the runner-up with 93,845 Spotify monthly listeners. Between them, they make the case that Egypt's melodic scene isn't a niche anymore; it's the country's second engine after trance. Further down, mostafa ryad extends that story at seventh with 1,510 votes.
The middle of the table is where the race genuinely tightens. DESMAGER lands fourth on 2,021 votes, carrying the house flag with 13,146 SoundCloud followers and 12,264 on Instagram. Just 86 votes behind sits Mond at fifth with 1,935, repping electronica, and NEOBYRD follows at sixth on 1,807 — meaning positions four through six are separated by only 214 votes. NEOBYRD's 15,627 Instagram followers suggest an audience that could easily push him higher next time out.
House music, in fact, quietly matches the melodic contingent with three entries of its own: DESMAGER, NEOBYRD and Lordo, who takes ninth with 1,031 votes. Electronica completes the picture with three artists — Mond, Elkotsh at eighth on 1,236 votes, and Morouj closing the list at tenth. The bottom of the table is the closest contest anywhere in the ranking: Lordo edges Morouj by just 12 votes, 1,031 to 1,019. Notably, Morouj's credit score of 438 is higher than both Elkotsh's 396 and Lordo's 340 — a reminder that this countdown is decided by fan votes, and on that measure the order stands, however narrowly.
Step back and the shape of the list tells you something about where Egyptian electronic music is right now. One trance act at the top, then an even three-way split between melodic house and techno, house, and electronica across the remaining nine places. That's not a scene coasting on a single legacy sound — it's a scene diversifying in real time, with fans engaged enough to produce photo-finish margins in the midfield and at the wire.
The headline is settled: Aly & Fila remain Egypt's undisputed number one, with the votes, the score and the global streaming footprint to match. The subplot is wide open. With 657 votes deciding the podium's lower steps, 214 votes covering fourth through sixth, and 12 votes splitting ninth from tenth, almost every position outside the top spot is up for grabs. If the melodic and house contingents keep converting local momentum into ballots, next year's countdown could look very different — everywhere except the top.
