Top 10 DJs in China: Hard Dance Leads as Treasure Takes the Fan Vote
By Imani Brooks·July 27, 2026
China's electronic underground has never been easy to summarise, and this year's fan vote proves the point: a Top 10 that runs from hard dance to dubstep, deep house to leftfield electronica, with almost nothing resembling a consensus sound.
A clear winner at the top
Treasure takes the crown decisively. With 7,431 fan votes — nearly two thousand clear of the nearest challenger — and the highest credit score in the field at 748, the hard dance act's win isn't a squeaker. Hard dance has been quietly building momentum in China's club circuit, and Treasure's result suggests the genre's fanbase is not just present but organised enough to turn out in force when voting opens.
The real fight was for second. Kirara Magic, flying the dubstep flag, edged out Tzusing by 218 votes — 5,620 to 5,402 — in the closest contest among the top three. On credit score alone, Tzusing would have taken silver: his 727 outstrips Kirara Magic's 681, and his profile is the most evenly distributed in the ranking, with meaningful audiences across Spotify, SoundCloud, Last.fm and Resident Advisor. That RA following of 7,729 speaks to a deep house artist whose reputation is anchored in club culture rather than any single platform. But this is a fan vote, and the fans spoke.
Hard dance doubles up
Beyond lands at four with 2,394 votes, giving hard dance two of the top four slots — the only genre family to place twice in the upper half. It's a notable showing for a style that rarely dominates international polls, and it hints at a domestic scene with its own gravitational pull.
ALLDAY PROJECT rounds out the top five at 1,766 votes, the lone commercial dance/pop entry — a reminder that the mainstream end of Chinese dance music still commands a loyal voting bloc even in a list otherwise dominated by underground sounds.
The tightest race on the board
From six downward, the margins collapse. AMAZONDOTCOM — an electronica act with three festival appearances on record — takes sixth with 1,543 votes, just 163 ahead of techno artist Ayrtbh at 1,380. Then comes the closest finish anywhere in this ranking: Dzen Guru holds eighth with 1,323 votes, a mere 2 votes ahead of melodic house & techno artist Yuan at 1,321. Two votes. In a poll of thousands, that's the kind of margin that turns on a single friend group deciding to participate.
Poison the Vicar closes the list at 1,243 votes, giving dubstep its second entry and bookending a ranking in which bass music appears at both two and ten.
What the spread tells us
Look at the genre column and you see seven distinct genre families across ten artists. No single sound owns China's electronic landscape right now — hard dance has the numbers at the top, but techno, deep house, melodic house, bass and experimental electronica all found enough believers to crack the list. Several of these artists operate well outside the algorithmic mainstream, which makes their presence here a function of genuine grassroots support rather than platform-driven momentum.
The lower half in particular reads like a snapshot of a scene voting for its own: artists whose followings live in clubs, on SoundCloud pages and in local networks rather than on billboard-sized streaming profiles. That the fan vote surfaced them at all is the most encouraging signal in this year's results — China's electronic music audience knows exactly who it wants to champion, and it isn't waiting for anyone's permission.
