Top 10 DJs in BA: Solomun Runs Away With the Fan Vote as Tech House Fills the Chasing Pack

In some fan-voted rankings the top spot is close. Not this one. Solomun heads BA's Top 10 with 14,573 votes and a credit score of 946. That is 9,258 votes clear of second place, and more than two and a half times the runner-up's total.

The rest of the profile matches the vote. Solomun shows 3,206,742 Spotify monthly listeners, 2,274,239 Instagram followers, 87,476 Resident Advisor followers and a festival count of 227. The main genre is listed as Melodic House & Techno, and Solomun is the only melodic act on the list. A gap this size reflects a career built at a different scale from the rest of the field.

The real story starts at No. 2. Three of the next four places go to tech house.

Sinisa Tamamovic is second with 5,315 votes and a credit score of 736. The profile is broad if not huge: 10,100 YouTube subscribers, 12,762 Instagram followers, 1,381 RA followers and a festival count of 9.

Alen Milivojevic (No. 4, 4,057 votes) and Mladen Tomic (No. 5, 3,936 votes) are separated by just 121 votes, the closest finish in the top half. Their credit scores point the other way. Mladen Tomic scores 672 to Alen Milivojevic's 657, and has the larger festival count (19 against 5) and more RA followers (1,023 against 202). Fans had the final say, and in this ranking that is what decides the order.

Add Forniva at No. 6 (House, 1,677 votes, credit score 522) and the house family takes four of the ten places. That makes it the clearest genre trend on the list.

The main exception sits at No. 3. Billain, listed under Drum & Bass, collects 4,657 votes and a credit score of 705. That puts Billain ahead of two of the three tech house names. The support looks well spread: 37,338 SoundCloud followers, 25,431 Last.fm listeners, 15,551 Spotify followers and a festival count of 13. Billain is the only bass act in the Top 10 and holds the highest spot of any non-house act after Solomun.

Below Forniva the vote totals shrink and the list becomes more varied.

DJ Krmak (Techno, 1,355 votes) edges Colonia (Trance, 1,257 votes) by 98 votes, which is the second close race on the list. Again the credit scores disagree with the fan vote: Colonia scores 477 to DJ Krmak's 433.

Rectoor takes No. 9 with 1,127 votes and gives techno its second entry, with a festival count of 4 and 722 TikTok followers. Zana closes the list at No. 10 with 934 votes under Electronica, the only act in that genre. Zana's credit score of 405 is higher than Rectoor's 372.

Some of the platform figures in the lower half vary a lot from one service to the next. A single number from one platform doesn't tell you much about an act's real reach. The vote counts are the more reliable measure here.

Three things stand out. First, BA has one act with a much bigger profile than everyone else, and that act tops the list by a huge margin. Second, behind Solomun, fans in BA favour house and tech house more than any other style. Third, the credit scores don't always match the fan votes. Three times on this list (Nos. 4–5, 7–8 and 9–10), the act with the higher credit score finishes below the act with more votes.

Solomun's lead is safe. The places from No. 2 to No. 10 are much more open, and a strong voting push could move several of them.
