Melodic House & Techno, Decoded: Who Leads the Scene on DJ Radar Right Now
By Mara Quinn·October 22, 2026

DJ Radar doesn't chart basslines or breakdowns. What it does show is which artists the melodic family is backing right now. On that front the picture is unusually consistent: every one of the current top eight has the same main genre, Melodic House & Techno. Of the 1,044 DJs on the board, these are the names setting the pace, and how they got there says a lot about how this scene works.
A three-point race at the summit
Anyma holds No. 1 with a credit score of 981. John Summit is right behind on 978, three points back. The top eight span 51 points, from 981 down to 930, so that is a genuinely tight margin.
The vote count tells a different story. Anyma has drawn 52,796 votes to John Summit's 33,600, a gap of 19,196. Credit score and raw votes clearly aren't the same measure, and the race at the top is much closer on the first than the second. Both are listed under the United States.
ARTBAT, listed under Ukraine, rounds out the top three at 966 with 31,926 votes. That keeps the first three places within 15 points of each other.
The vote cliff
The sharpest break in the top eight isn't in the scores. It's in the votes. After ARTBAT's 31,926, the next total is Eric Prydz on 14,028, and every DJ from fourth to eighth sits between 12,041 and 14,573 votes.
Prydz, listed under Sweden, takes fourth on 947. Directly below, the board gets crowded:
- Solomun and Boris Brejcha are level on 945, with Solomun holding marginally more votes, 14,573 to 14,481. - Keinemusik and Miss Monique are level on 930, with Keinemusik on 13,588 votes and Miss Monique on 12,041.
With two exact ties in four places, the lower half of this list is the most finely balanced stretch of the leaderboard.
A genuinely international scene
The top eight come from five countries. The United States (Anyma, John Summit), Ukraine (ARTBAT, Miss Monique) and Germany (Boris Brejcha, Keinemusik) each place two names. Sweden (Eric Prydz) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Solomun, listed as BA) place one each. Miss Monique is the only act in the group listed as female.
No single metric crowns a leader
If you want to understand melodic's reach, don't fixate on one platform. Among these eight, the top figure changes depending on where you look:
- Instagram: Anyma, 4,006,910 followers - Spotify monthly listeners: John Summit, 11,747,076 - Spotify followers: Boris Brejcha, 1,734,021 - YouTube: Boris Brejcha, 1,420,000 subscribers - Resident Advisor: Solomun, 87,476 followers, the highest RA figure recorded here
Two profiles also list festival counts: 294 for Miss Monique and 227 for Solomun.
That spread matters. Platform numbers can be noisy, and no single one should be read as a verdict. Taken together, though, they describe a genre whose audience isn't concentrated in one place. Streaming, social and Resident Advisor each put a different name in front.
So what defines melodic right now?
By DJ Radar's numbers, four things define it:
- the whole top eight shares one genre identity - the leaders come from five countries - the top three are separated from the rest by sheer vote volume - the fan base is spread across platforms rather than tied to any one of them
At the very top, Anyma's 981 and John Summit's 978 make No. 1 the spot to watch.
