Inside Melodic House & Techno: The Eight DJs Leading DJ Radar Right Now
By Imani Brooks·October 16, 2026

DJ Radar currently tracks 1,044 DJs in the melodic genre family. At the top, the picture is strikingly uniform: all eight current leaders list Melodic House & Techno as their main genre, and between them they span five countries. The genre's centre is clear, but the order at the front is far from settled.
What defines the sound
Melodic house and techno keeps the steady four-to-the-floor engine of house and techno and puts melody in charge. Tracks build slowly. Lead lines and chord progressions carry real emotional weight, and atmosphere is part of the structure, not just decoration. It's dance music built for the moment a whole room lifts together, and the numbers below suggest that moment reaches well beyond the room, onto screens and streaming.
Anyma and John Summit: 3 points apart
Anyma holds No. 1 with a credit score of 982. John Summit sits 3 points behind on 979. Both represent the United States, but they reach the top by different routes.
Anyma has the most votes of any leader, with 52,796 against John Summit's 33,600. The social reach is broad too: 4,002,443 Instagram followers, 2,500,000 on TikTok and 1,180,000 YouTube subscribers.
John Summit's strongest lane is streaming. His 11,868,766 Spotify monthly listeners are the highest figure among the eight leaders.
ARTBAT anchors third
Ukraine's ARTBAT takes No. 3 on 966, backed by 31,926 votes. That total sits close to John Summit's and far above everyone ranked below. ARTBAT draws 5,167,304 Spotify monthly listeners and 1,018,393 Instagram followers, a balanced profile that keeps the name firmly in the top tier.
One point covers fourth through sixth
This is the tightest stretch among the leaders. Eric Prydz of Sweden is No. 4 on 947. Solomun and Boris Brejcha share a score of 946 at Nos. 5 and 6. Their vote counts are almost level: 14,573 for Solomun, 14,481 for Brejcha and 14,028 for Prydz.
Each has a distinct signature. Prydz brings 8,609,093 Spotify monthly listeners and 848,694 SoundCloud followers. Solomun has 87,476 Resident Advisor followers, the largest RA figure among the leaders who have one listed, plus a festival count of 227. Brejcha has the top Spotify follower count of the eight at 1,730,666 and the most YouTube subscribers at 1,420,000.
Keinemusik and Miss Monique close the eight
Germany's Keinemusik sits at No. 7 on 932 with 13,588 votes. Keinemusik's 11,571,507 Spotify monthly listeners trail only John Summit's among the leaders.
Ukraine's Miss Monique follows 2 points back on 930, with 12,041 votes. Her 1,310,000 YouTube subscribers place her second among the eight on that platform, and her profile lists a festival count of 294.
Reading the board
Taken together, the top eight show there's no single route to the top of melodic. Streaming numbers lead for John Summit, Keinemusik and Eric Prydz. Video reach stands out for Boris Brejcha, Miss Monique and Anyma, each above a million YouTube subscribers. Solomun leads on Resident Advisor, the club-focused platform. Votes are what split the top three from the rest: Anyma, John Summit and ARTBAT are the only leaders above 30,000.
The geography is just as telling. Ukraine, Germany and the United States each place two entries in the top eight. With 3 points between first and second and a single point covering three ranks below, small swings could reshuffle the order. The common thread is melody, and right now it's carrying artists from five countries to the top of the board.
