Fred again.. Leads House, but Tech House Runs the DJ Radar Board
By Sasha Volkov·October 13, 2026

House is a crowded field on DJ Radar, with 3,515 DJs on the board in the house genre family. At the top the field narrows quickly, and it leans heavily toward one sub-style.
Six of the current top eight list tech house as their main genre. Oliver Heldens is the only future house entry. Only the No. 1, Fred again.., carries the core House tag.
Fred again.. sets the pace
Fred again.. leads the genre with a credit score of 975, 23 points clear of second place. The vote count shows the lead most clearly: 32,662 votes, more than double the next-highest total in the top eight, which is James Hype's 14,854.
The rest of the profile supports that position: 28,173,892 Spotify monthly listeners, 2,826,479 Spotify followers, 1,480,000 YouTube subscribers, 1,283,335 Last.fm listeners and 162,106 Resident Advisor followers. It is the only monthly-listener figure in the group above 20 million.
A tightly packed tech house bloc
Behind the leader, the board becomes a close tech house race. Places two through eight span just 27 points, from Vintage Culture's 952 down to Jamie Jones's 925.
Vintage Culture, from Brazil, holds second on 952, with 5,999,365 Spotify monthly listeners and a festival count of 253. James Hype is five points back on 947, with 11,545,401 monthly listeners and 1,800,000 TikTok followers.
From there the margins get razor-thin. Dom Dolla (941) and Oliver Heldens (939) are two points apart at fourth and fifth. Fisher (933) and Mau P (931) are separated by the same two points at sixth and seventh.
Votes alone don't set the order
The rankings are not a straight vote count. Fisher sits sixth yet holds 14,664 votes, more than Vintage Culture, Dom Dolla or Oliver Heldens, who all rank higher. James Hype's 14,854 also tops Vintage Culture's 14,207, even though Hype ranks one spot lower. Fisher also has the second-largest Spotify monthly audience of the eight, at 16,909,908.
Jamie Jones is the clearest contrast. Eighth on 925, Jamie Jones has the smallest Spotify monthly audience in the group at 1,591,854. The same profile shows a festival count of 270, the highest of the three leaders with that figure on file. It also lists 429,839 SoundCloud followers and 74,499 RA followers, second only to Fred again.. among the RA numbers listed. A top-eight house profile doesn't have to be a streaming-first one.
What defines the sound right now
Based on this board, house at the top of DJ Radar mostly means tech house. The style keeps house's four-on-the-floor foundation but leans into tighter grooves driven by percussion and bass, built for the dancefloor. Six of the eight leaders work in it.
The outliers still matter. Fred again.. tops the genre under the broader House label, and Oliver Heldens holds fifth as the only future house name in the group. The board still rewards more than one strand of the sound.
The leaders come from four countries: the United Kingdom (Fred again.., James Hype, Jamie Jones), Australia (Dom Dolla, Fisher), the Netherlands (Oliver Heldens, Mau P) and Brazil (Vintage Culture).
What to watch
The No. 1 spot has a 23-point cushion, so the top of the table looks settled. Below it, the two-point gaps at fourth and fifth and at sixth and seventh make the middle of this house leaderboard the part worth watching.
